Yummi Pouch cloth snack bags

Moms pack a lot of snacks. A LOT of snacks. In fact, my grocery list usually includes “snacks I can pack.” When we’re out, keeping the kids’ well-fed is second only to making sure they’re buckled in their carseats.

Cereal? Packable. Crackers? Packable. Muffins? Packable, not durable. Popsicles? Not packable, sorry Mary Virginia.

I pack so many snacks that I could potentially go through a box of Ziplocs in two days, and since I’ve never ever ever liked using disposable products, I like reusable containers.

I’ve been using reusable bags since David was old enough to eat snacks, so for about four years. It’s one of the few kid products that you need for babies and for big kids.

Recently, I received a few Yummi Pouch cloth snack bags from Revelae Kids, and as an experienced, tenured snack-bag user, I’m a fan.

They do every single thing I’ve ever wanted in a snack bag: transport snacks with ease and agility.

Mary Virginia likes the designs, too. I did do a bit of field research and can tell you that if there are Cheez-Its in the pouch, an almost-five-year old boy will also eat out of a bag with pink butterflies on it.

The bags have a zip closure, and, if there are Cheez-Its inside the bag, Mary Virginia has no trouble with zippers. She had a bit more trouble when there were carrots inside.

Can I tell you my favorite, absolute favorite thing about these bags?

They’re machine washable.

The other bags I use are hand-washable, which is fine, but food and gunk sometimes gets deep in the creases or Velcro closure. Since I sometimes use them for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, I’m always mindful about sending certain bags to preschool with my kids. It’s not a huge deal — I just have one or two that I use for peanut and other foods, and the rest are allergen-free. But I love the convenience of putting them in the washer and knowing they’re clean for real.

Especially because, inevitably, this always happens. Squooshed snacks.

Reusable, eco-friendly, washable, and there are tons of designs and sizes to choose from. (Mary Virginia is modeling the snack size. There’s also a sandwich size, and a giant everything bag that looks like SUCH a good idea.)

Visit Revelae Kids for Yummi Pouch cloth storage bags, and lots of other fun stuff for kids. (Including something called Sudsy Dough. Which sounds…ahem…amazing.)

I received a complimentary product in exchange for my honest review. And, honestly? I love that they’re washable.
