Happy Father’s Day! My gift to Tom was letting him wake up with the kids (again) while I slept in (again). And now that I put it that way, I guess every day is Father’s Day around here.

A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2016.

David / Sweet big boy hands drawing a gift for Father’s Day. The kids always draw Tom wearing black because he tells them black is his favorite color.

Mary Virginia / This weekend we’ve been hosting Camp Krieger. A storm came through Richmond Thursday night and hit Steve and Lindsay’s part of town particularly hard. They’re going on 72 hours without power, so their family has been hanging out with us. Camp Krieger weekend has been a huge a success — we’ve been doing nothing but eating potato chips by the pool and pretending we don’t have responsibilities. The kids are already talking about how much fun it’ll be next time we lose power! WOOHOO!!

All weekend David and Caleb have been racing cars and building Marbleworks while Berkley Grace and Mary Virginia have been doing one sweet adorable thing after the next. For example, here they are putting their dolls to bed and praying for them. After they did this, they turned on classical music and twirled and curtseyed for thirty minutes.

Thomas / We’ve been so impressed by how well the kids have handled the huge transition of moving. Brigham, on the other hand, is furious. We can’t tell if he’s mad because we moved to a new house or because we brought the kids with us.
